Bring your own scissors & monoadhesive*
*please do not rely on stick glue--you need a stronger adhesive

Doors open at 8:30 am (please arrive by 8:45 am latest), get seated with your friends--keep your table for the day. For your convenience, the projects will come to you.

You will have the opportunity to make Thank You cards for the US Marines, 3RD Batallion, 1st Marine Division, India Company, returning from Iraq. Read more below**

**THANK YOU CARDS FOR US MARINES, 3RD Batallion, 1st Marine Division, India Company, returning from Iraq.

The Marines from 3/1 India company have been in Iraq in the Al Anbar province clearing the region of insurgents and terrorists. In an area where they said "it couldn't be done," these Marines have secured a safe place for the Iraqi people and have now handed the region over to the Iraqi Army which they've trained throughout this mission in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

They have endured temperatures up to 120 degrees, sustained 18 injuries from IEDs, suffered 1 casualty, and have had little communication with their families due to the secrecy of this mission. But they are soon headed home!

One of our own, Judy Zaal, has a special interest in this project. Her son is Executive Officer of India Company. She is working in coordination with contacts from Camp Pendleton (CA) to welcome the troops home with special "Welcome Home" packages.

As a small token of appreciation, a table at the stamp festival will be designated for making cards to thank these young Marines for their service to our country and for the sacrifices they have made. The goal is 130 thank you cards for a very special Homecoming!
